Southampton Water Activities Centre is situated in the heart of Southampton's historic waterfront area adjacent to Ocean Village Marina, which is surrounded by a number of luxury flats, popular restaurant/bars, cinemas & shops, overlooking the marina.

Also nearby is the historic Shamrock Quay Marina, with a first class berthing and marine services. It contains a well stocked Chandlery, bars/restaurants/cafes and a number of shops and facilities.  The area is also the home of the Friends Provident St Mary’s Stadium for Southampton Football Club which was built in 2001 and has a 32,000 capacity.

Town Quay operates The Red Funnel Terminal providing a link to the Isle of Wight.  It also offers a number of bars, clubs, casino’s, shops and a free bus link to Southampton Central Station.  Next to the Quay is Mayflower Park which has a great view of the Solent and is a destination for some of the worlds famous cruise liners such as QE2, QM2 and Queen Victoria.

Opposite is the maritime museum which contains exhibitions, displays, and provides educational information on the maritime history of Southampton include the titanic.

On West Quay Road a bit further up is the newly re-opened Oceana Southampton Nightclub complex which offers 5 bars and 2 clubs with VIP suites.

Southampton Water Activities Centre is a short walk from the City Centre with a variety of shops and the large shopping complex West Quay. Adjacent is The Quays Swimming and Diving Complex which offers excellent Olympic standard Leisure facilities.
