Youth Dinghy Sailing Courses
The overall shape of the scheme is shown in the diagram. After initial training, sailors can choose from a range of options, depending upon the type of activity they wish to pursue.
Youth Improver/Advance Courses
These courses are for young people who have achieved Stage 4 to assist them in developing their skills. The modules can be linked together to form week long courses or can be taken as stand alone two day courses organised on demand.
RYA Seamanship Skills
Sail independently - how to handle the boat in all circumstances and solve problems afloat.
RYA Sailing with Spinnakers
Kites course - everything you need to know to sail modern three sail boats.
RYA Day Sailing
Go cruising - passage planning and decision-making for small boat cruising.
RYA Start Racing
Go club racing - the start line for enjoying club racing. All you need to know to get around the course.
RYA Performance Sailing
Efficient sailing, get coached and sail better. Improve your boat handling and confidence in performance boats.
SWAC Race Coaching
Improve your personal proficiency being coached by SWAC youth racing instructors. Daily regattas, video feedback and lots of fun.
Powerboating
RYA Powerboat Courses
RYA Powerboat Level 1, from 8 years old; RYA Powerboat Level 2, from 12 years old; Intermediate Powerboat and Advanced Powerboat from 16 years old. Please request powerboat section for dates and details.
