INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT

SWAC has a long and well deserved reputation for developing sailing instructors for the industry.

 

The Centre has superb fleets of Wayfarers, Laser Stratos, Optimists, Laser Picos, Laser Radials, Laser Vagos, RS Fevas,  RS Visions, Dart 16 and Sonar Keelboats.

      

Each individual module in the National Sailing Scheme can be completed in just two days. The modules are spread throughout the year to offer a structured progression of training. We also offer club sailing sessions to help you gain experience between modules. The overall shape of the scheme is shown in the diagram.  After initial training, sailors can choose from a range of options, depending upon the type of activity they wish to pursue.
