Women Only Courses
Aims and Objectives
Spend a weekend with the girls learning to sail, learning to powerboat in a safe, relaxing and non-intimidating environment.
Courses are tailored for women and taught by women. These hands on practical courses offer opportunities for fun, personal development, confidence buiilding and of course learning new and exciting skills.
Why not give them a try and develop your taste for adventure!
Courses 2008

Taster Sailing (Morning or Afternoon)
Course Overview: If you have never been sailing before and want to have a go before committing yourself to a course then one of these group sessions may be just what you need to help make a decision. You will sail in one of our larger two person dinghies with an instructor on board and safety cover on the water. The sailing is part instruction and part demonstration.
Level: Beginner
Qual: None
Course fee: £25 Adults, Ages 8-17 £15
Time:9-12 or 1-4

RYA Start Sailing Level 1 (Two Day Course)
Course Overview: The aim of this two day course is to offer an enjoyable introduction to dinghy sailing where safety, fun and expert tuition are the key elements.
Level: Beginner
Qual: RYA Level 1 Certificate

RYA Basic Skills Level 2 (Two Day Course)
Course Overview: This two day course is designed as a follow-on for those who have recently completed a Level 1 course and will progress your sailing skills to achieve the Level 2 Basic Skills Award. This course would also be suitable for those whose sailing may be a 'little rusty' and need a refresher. An intensive skills weekend.
Level: Beginner/Improver
Qual: RYA Level 2 Certificate

RYA National Powerboat Certificate (Level 2)
Course Overview: A more intensive and demanding course. This packed, two day course offers a thorough introduction to small powerboat handling. Level 2 is also the basic level required for the International Certificate of Competence for under 10 m (UK nationals only). The minimum age is 12 but all drivers under 16 must be supervised by a competent adult. Some previous boating experience will be an advantage.
